The Crossroads Drug & Alcohol program does not focus solely on addiction, or on what drugs and alcohol do to the body. Instead, the program is designed to help adults understand and recognize the decision process they go through when they choose to abuse drugs and/or alcohol. During the program, personal patterns of use and contributing attitudes are explored in depth. The individual learns how to face the challenges of abstinence and how to alter their substance abusing behavior patterns. This facilitator guide leads the instructor through each component of the curriculum and features detailed activity instructions in the appendix.
