The Crossroads Gang Involvement program is a dynamic and interactive course which helps gang members and at-risk youth examine their reasons for being in a gang or desiring to join. Alternative methods of achieving social and/or economic goals are explored, as are the consequences of gang membership. Participants in the Crossroads Gang Involvement program will find that it is not so much anti-gang as it is pro-alternatives. A comfortable, non-threatening atmosphere is created where participants are encouraged to realistically examine their futures, and to set positive goals. A user friendly workbook incorporating NCTI's Personal Awareness Journaling(tm) that emphasizes the cognitive interaction of the curriculum is utilized in this program.
