Many offenders require a more extended and comprehensive educational process in order to help them overcome their behavioral patterns. Cognitive Life Skills helps offenders learn important competencies that enable them to work better within their environment. Many probation/parole departments, jails and prisons use the Cognitive Life Skills program for long-term cognitive and life-skills development.
Cognitive Life Skills offers the agency:
1.) A standardized supervision model
2.) A significant improvement in time utilization for developing offender/ supervisor relationships
3.) An increase in contact time with offenders
4.) Decreased workloads
During the Adult Cognitive Life Skills program, participants will:
Look realistically at their position in life.
Discover how their attitude affects their behavior.
Understand the process that is necessary to change negative behavior.
