Drugs and Alcohol

This highly effective program is based on research that has identified a range of problems that are most commonly present when experimentation with drugs and/or alcohol begins. The program focuses on the areas of self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, work ethic, self-direction and alternatives.

The Youthful Offender version is for younger children and youth who might be at risk to use alcohol or drugs. The Adolescent version focuses on older youth who have already experimented  in this area and need some skills to avoid a long-term dependency or habit of abuse.

During the Crossroads Drugs & Alcohol program participants will:

  • Identify and master the factors that influence behavior.
  • Learn skills and identify resources that help develop a healthy, positive lifestyle.
  • Learn skills that help one live peacefully with family and others.
  • Consider their future and set goals to accomplish in life.
  • Choose new, positive activities to replace old, negative activities.
