Gang involvement is one of the most dangerous steps young people can take towards ruining their lives and their futures. This dynamic, interactive program helps gang members and at-risk youth examine their reasons for being in a gang or desiring to join. Alternative methods of achieving social and/or economic goals are explored, as are the consequences of gang membership.

Participants in the Crossroads Gang Involvement program will find that it is not so much "anti-gang" as it is pro-alternatives. A comfortable, non-threatening atmosphere is created where participants are encouraged to realistically examine their futures, and to set positive goals.

During the Crossroads Gang Involvement program, participants will:

• Identify their needs and wants and describe which of these are being fulfilled or could be fulfilled by a gang.
• Discover skills that assist in overcoming the influences of a gang.
• Learn the Law of Consequences and be able to explain it.
• Identify positive, alternative methods of satisfying needs and wants apart from a gang.
• Create a personal vision of a successful future.
