Anger Control

The Anger Management program is designed to teach youth personal skills to deal responsibly with stress and frustration. It also demonstrates to them the need to acknowledge the consequences of their behavior.

The program focuses on cause and effect; teaching participants to recognize their personal warning signals when emotions begin to get out of hand. In this skill-based program, individuals learn how to avoid confrontational situations, manage their emotions and develop alternative behavioral responses.

During the Crossroads Anger Management program, participants will:

  • Understand the influence that strong emotions have on their behavior.
  • Improve interpersonal communication skills.
  • Gain better self-control.
  • Make a commitment to avoid the use of anger or violence to solve personal problems.
