In addition to cognitive behavioral curricula, NCTI has also developed facilitator certification training and curricula surrounding the area of PREA -- Preventing Sexual Misconduct Against Offenders.
The standards adopted by the Department of Justice (DOJ) relating to the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) require criminal justice agencies to provide extensive training to staff, volunteers, and auxiliary personnel. This applies to all criminal justice agencies housing juvenile and adult offenders, including probation residential facilities, lockups, detention centers, jails, and prison agencies. Additionally the new standards will require agencies to adopt policies regarding zero tolerance, incident investigations, appropriate screening, and more.

"Managers need to think of this training as preventative. How many times do we just react to an incident after it happens? Congratulations to NCTI on helping the field try to deliver PREA training before there is a problem!"~ Ray Wahl, Utah Juvenile Court Administrator, Administrative Office of the Court
