Introducing NCTI's NEW Crossroads Pre and Post Test Online System

Can Your Cognitive Program Measure a Change in Thinking?

NCTI understands that program fidelity is vital to your organization, and we have developed a new set of tools to help agencies manage and track Crossroads classes. Our new and improved system allows agencies to schedule, update, and report on their Crossroads classes both efficiently and effectively to ensure the fidelity of your programs.

Through the new online pre and post testing system, agencies can determine the increase in knowledge that occurred within each participant upon attending a Crossroads course. As the pre and post tests are written to the goals and outcomes of each curriculum, agencies can use this information to determine the effectiveness of their programs, as well as identify possible issues with facilitation.

Change in Thinking Leads to Change in Behavior

By ensuring that the cognitive curriculum is delivered properly, and participants are increasing their knowledge in important pro-social skills, an agency will be more successful in empowering behavior change. Conversely, if low scores are seen in certain skill areas, agencies are then able to work with their facilitators to improve in those areas.

The Crossroads Pre and Post Test Online System

In the Crossroads pre and post test online system, agencies can see all of their Crossroads class activity on one dashboard, schedule classes, update classes with participant information, print pre and post tests for each class, enter pre and post test results, and immediately view reports for classes, individual participants, or the agency as a whole.

In addition, an agency can choose to have one main administrator who performs all of these functions, or they can allow facilitators to log into the system to schedule classes, print out tests, and enter participant roster information.

Use of NCTI’s Pre and Post Testing System Offers Four Distinct Advantages:

  1. An agency is able to measure the increase in knowledge of participants completing Crossroads classes.
  2. An agency is able to monitor the success of their facilitators, and become aware of possible areas of improvement.
  3. Pre-Post tests and reports are a useful quality control tool to help ensure program fidelity.
  4. With a complete user-friendly web-based system, agencies can manage and track their Crossroads classes from start to completion.

This web-based program is available to your agency free of charge. For more information and to get started on NCTI’s new Pre and Post Testing System, please fill out the form and we will be in touch soon!

NCTI has changed my life
NCTI has changed my life.Through the help of Real Colors and Crossroads workshops, my understanding of others and myself has changed beyond belief.  Simply put, your incredible programs have helped me become a better husband, father, officer and instructor.  Thanks NCTI!

The program is having some positive impact
The Bermuda Department of Corrections has been using the NCTI Crossroads® cognitive curricula for the past 5 years, with more than 100 inmates participating. We have found the content to be stimulating to participants, often sparking lively discussion. The program has a very low drop-out rate. And we know the program is having some positive impact. Bermuda is a small island and thus it is not uncommon to run into, on the streets, former program participants who have successfully reintegrated into society. The Real Colors® component of the program has helped inmates to learn more about themselves, with some requesting additional materials to continue the learning process.

Excited to partner with NCTI
Mountain Counseling & Training, Inc. is excited to partner with NCTI and San Bernardino County Probation Department to provide an evidence-based series of courses both to Probation-referred clients and to the community at large.  We now have four certified facilitators who are ready to address a huge variety of training needs with proven curricula. NCTI has been amazing in their support of our "stretching the envelope" approach in utilizing these curricula to address complex behavioral and emotional needs. We are particularly impressed with NCTI's focus on outcomes and interactive learning experiences focused on discovery and behavioral change.

The cognitive curricula are extremely easy to use and follow
The cognitive curricula are extremely easy to use and follow.  The facilitator guides provide step by step instruction in facilitating each specific group.  NCTI has always been quick to respond to any of our questions or needs and provide assistance in any way they can. Real Colors® is usually the best part of each group, for both the client and facilitator.  It helps the facilitators to identify the best way in which to teach each client and helps the client understand themselves and others in a way that allows them to better communicate with family, peers, teachers, employers etc.

My experience with NCTI has been a positive one
My experience with NCTI has been a positive one. Our agency has been using NCTI curriculum for our Youth Services since 2007. We have been able to improve the life skills of so many adolescents due to keeping the fidelity of the curriculum & using the Real Colors® instrument. Our Youth Services has tripled in size. We continue to be a successful Youth Enrichment program in the West and East side of the Inland Empire. The NCTI staff is always available to help and give any suggestions to make our program successful. We love NCTI!

You learn how to become a better communicator
The training stimulates thinking and boosts one’s energy to feel stronger regarding self and the ability to relate with other people because you learn how to become a better communicator. Also, the training made me realize each individual has something he or she can offer someone, which includes listening and acceptance.  The training was invigorating and I left feeling upbeat and the courage to put what I learned into practice to help others in my personal life and professionally.  I do work on not being shy but NCTI found a way to make me feel safe.

Excellent class that has practical, real world usefulness
As you know I thought the training was excellent. It is a class I had been hearing about for years, (which is rare in my department) and I felt fortunate to finally take it. To be trained in facilitating Real Colors® was even better. I tell outsiders it’s an excellent class that has practical, real world usefulness. I tell them to take it if they get the chance. I tell them I know what color they are!

I would recommend it to anyone
The training was profound and I would recommend it to anyone. I have learned to be patient and more understanding when dealing with staff, internal and external stakeholders and just people in general based on their temperament. Even though I am still learning to recognize individuals and their colors, the fact that I am trying to deal with people on their level says a lot. I would tell anyone that if they wanted to make a difference in the lives of others, this is the breakthrough training that will get them there.

This was a totally outstanding training course
The facilitator was extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter; yet did not “educate” me through didactic methods; rather, she provided a safe learning environment where I could discover more about myself and how to integrate my work efforts to truly meet the needs of my clients as they seek to reintegrate as positive members within our communities. The hands-on, dynamic learning opportunities (individual, dyad, and large group) allowed me to hear it, see it, speak it, and do it all in the same learning environment. I even enjoyed learning how to work more effectively with my colleagues! I am definitely better able to facilitate educational interaction opportunities and engagement needs of our clients. I look forward to work with the Crossroads® curriculum! We have needed this complete package for quite some time.
