What Brings Out Your Best?

Using Real Colors to Understand What Helps People Engage, Participate, and Contribute

Gallup reports that only 31% of U.S. employees are engaged at work. Low engagement has consequences that show up every day: higher absenteeism and turnover, more safety incidents, reduced output, and decreased customer satisfaction. In a workplace where many people are already stressed and being asked to do more, engagement matters. But engagement isn’t just a management issue. Whether we supervise, lead, facilitate, or simply work alongside others, we can all influence how people show up, participate, and contribute.

The challenge is that what helps one person engage may be exactly what causes someone else to pull back. More direction or more freedom? Regular check-ins or room to work independently? Recognition or simply knowing you’re trusted? There isn’t one approach that brings out the best in everyone. That’s where Real Colors can help. Join us as we look at engagement through a Real Colors lens and explore how understanding the people around us can help create the conditions for them to engage, contribute, and bring more of themselves to their work. For facilitators, that understanding can also help us create training experiences where more participants feel comfortable getting involved, sharing their perspectives, and contributing to the learning.

What brings out your best, and how well do you know what brings out the best in the people around you?

Join us for the October Real Colors Roundtable Discussion and leave with new ways to better understand what helps people engage and how you can put that understanding to work.
